The scam was exposed when the suspect demanded RM500,000 to redeem profits. Separately, a 57-year-old housewife was hypnotized by three unknown women and lost RM137,500. Both victims lodged reports at Kuantan district police headquarters. The cases are under Section 420 of the Penal Code for fraud.
