Netizens Appalled at Lack of Pedestrian Infrastructure at MRT Stations

A peculiar sight in Malaysia is the one where MRT stations can lack proper sidewalks for commuters. Furthermore, as a car-centric country, these train stations may require you to drive to them rather than walk. There is another option, which is taking a bus, but frequencies may not be consistent. 

Netizens appalled at lack of pedestrian infrastructure at MRT stations 

Others add that when nice proper pedestrian walkways are actually built, motorcycles and cars may clog these places and it will be unusable for those who’d want to walk. This too is an unfortunately common sight in Malaysia. 

Some say that there are a number of cities in Malaysia that are not planned well. For the most part it seems that only Cyberjaya and Putrajaya are apparently well planned for pedestrian access.
