Bangladeshi Man Earning RM55K Monthly Arrested for Hiring Illegal Workers

A Bangladeshi man earning RM55,000 monthly in Brickfields, KL, from his grocery store and restaurant operations was detained for employing three illegal foreign workers without valid permits.

During a raid by the Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department (JIM), the man claimed the workers were temporary helpers earning RM45 to RM70 per day. The raid, conducted alongside DBKL and KPDN, led to the arrest of 17 individuals, including Bangladeshi and Pakistani nationals, as well as two local employers. 

The case is being investigated under multiple sections of the Immigration Act and Regulations. Authorities continue monitoring illegal employment practices.
