A logging supervisor, Saidi Jahari, 43, was killed after being attacked by a wild elephant near a logging site in Felda Aring 8, Gua Musang. The tragedy occurred when a herd of elephants approached workers’ quarters at night, forcing six workers to flee into the forest.

Saidi failed to escape and was caught and trampled. His colleagues later found him alive but gravely injured before the elephant returned and attacked again, killing him. His body was later recovered near the quarters. Authorities are tracking the herd, and police classified the case as sudden death.
