Lamborghini Gallardo Catches Fire on Singapore’s ECP, No Injuries Reported

SINGAPORE, July 24 — A green Lamborghini Gallardo caught fire along the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Thursday evening, sending flames through the luxury sports car’s engine compartment and causing heavy traffic delays.

Images and videos shared on social media showed the vehicle engulfed in flames as motorists drove past. Online users identified the car as a green Lamborghini Gallardo fitted with gold rims and dragon decals, with many commenting on the vehicle’s high value.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident on the ECP towards Changi before the Still Road South exit at about 5.30pm. Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a water jet.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Land Transport Authority later advised motorists to avoid the fourth lane due to heavy congestion caused by the incident before traffic gradually eased.
