63 Deaths Linked to Hiking Activities Over Five Years

A total of 63 deaths have been recorded in Malaysia due to hiking-related incidents over the past five years, according to the Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Ministry (NRES).

Rising Outdoor Activity Risks Highlight Need for Safety Awareness

Authorities noted that factors such as poor preparation, lack of proper equipment, and unpredictable weather conditions contributed to many of the fatalities. Increased participation in outdoor activities has also raised overall risk levels.
