The dispute reportedly began over a fare of RM7, with the passenger only carrying a RM50 note and the driver possibly unable to provide change. Tensions rose, and the man appeared to push his wife, prompting the driver to intervene and firmly tell him off.

Netizens say that they’re glad the driver managed to diffuse the situation. Many are unhappy seeing married women being treated poorly by their husbands. An X user says that the passenger deserved to be yelled at by the driver.
Some are claiming that the individual is a Rohingya man. The relations between local Malaysians and the Rohingya refugees are another complex situation. It is unclear what ethnicity or race the man is, but users are throwing their suspicions in.
