Malaysia’s Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, has denied circulating WhatsApp messages claiming that the National Heart Institute (IJN) will be privatized. Dzulkefly clarified that IJN remains a corporate entity owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MoF Inc), and such privatization rumors are baseless.

The false message suggested that patients would no longer receive free treatment or medication. Dzulkefly referenced a statement from February, reaffirming that IJN continues to provide services under federal funding, with costs covered for patients referred from the Ministry of Health to alleviate congestion at other heart centers.
