The Royal Malaysia Police confirmed an emergency call after a 45‑year‑old motorcyclist was slashed with a meat cleaver on the Federal Highway near Section 13, Shah Alam, on 12 June.

A viral video showed the victim lying on the ground while the suspect held the weapon. Police said the attack occurred after the victim honked at the suspect, who then stopped and assaulted him.
The 43‑year‑old suspect has been arrested under Section 324 of the Penal Code. The victim sustained head, neck, arm, and hand injuries but is stable at Shah Alam Hospital.
