This is the current Status of the RM50 million fine imposed on Najib Razak. The fine remains an unsettled payment to date. As of November 6, 2026, Najib has not paid the RM50 million fine stemming from his SRC International case, meaning he remains in Kajang Prison.
Rumours surfaced this week that Najib was set to settle the payment at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex, but his lead counsel, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, and other defense lawyers denied having any knowledge of or instructions regarding the payment.
Najib fund
UMNO’s “Najib Razak Solidarity Fund”—launched to help raise the RM50 million after his personal and family assets were frozen—has fallen well short of the target, reaching only about RM9.25 million as of late September 2026, with UMNO secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki dismissing claims that the full amount is ready.
Under the conditional pardon granted by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, Najib is allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028, only if he settles the RM50 million fine.
