PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) is in hot water as the implementation of RFID causes massive traffic on the highway and raises questions from the public about the reason for the implementation as the product is still considered immature.
Azrie Mat Noor, an RFID consumer, questions PLUS whether the implementation of RFID stickers will benefit the nation or its pockets, citing the sticker’s fragility and ineffectiveness when compared to the SMART TAG.
“In terms of savings RFID can only be used in one car and SMART TAG can be used in many cars it is easier and more economical for the people. Any technology that is introduced must benefit the people and be better than the previous technology,” he says.
