JOHOR BAHRU, July 5– Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim criticised political leaders who exploit Malay supremacy rhetoric for personal gain, saying such narratives serve themselves, their families, and cronies rather than the people. He questioned whether those in power for over six decades truly cared for their communities, noting their arrogance and misuse of national wealth.

“KJ is nervous to speak and share the stage with me tonight; he is nervous because he knows he once made a mistake,” he said, adding that louder calls for Malay supremacy often coincided with leaders enriching themselves. Anwar urged Malaysians to reject misleading narratives and fight for genuine reform.
