A nine-month pregnant woman was killed and her sister was injured after their car crashed into an electrical panel box at KM19.2 on the Pasir Gudang Highway in Johor and a man who claims to be a family member blames a pothole on the highway for the deadly accident. A Facebook user who claims to be a family member, blamed a pothole for the accident, adding that it was raining when the crash occurred. “[She died] just because [they were] avoiding potholes on a slippery rainy night,” he wrote.

Pregnant woman dies
According to The Star, Seri Alam police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the accident occurred at 12.40am on Sunday, 7 January. He said the car heading towards Pasir Gudang was driven by the 30-year-old sister. “The driver of the car suffered a minor injury while the 28-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead while being treated at the Sultan Ismail Hospital,” the police said in a statement yesterday.
