People, particularly the elderly, have been warned to brace themselves for a new Covid-19 wave in the coming months and this was said by the Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
He says a new wave of infection could occur based on virus epidemiology developments in other countries, adding that the country’s Covid-19 situation is under control. “I’ve said before that there will be highs and lows in cases, as well as waves from time to time.”
“Perhaps we will see a new wave in two to three months. We don’t know how far or large it is. As a result, people in certain categories, such as the elderly and those with chronic health problems, are encouraged to boost their immunity with vaccine doses,” he said today at a press conference.
