PETALING JAYA – Former Bersatu Supreme Council member Saifuddin Abdullah has accused the party of “rotting” under draconian disciplinary measures, claiming supporters of president Muhyiddin Yassin are using the board to silence dissent.
Bersatu Rot
Saifuddin, sacked on Jan 6, said the disciplinary process is being weaponised against critics, with deputy president Hamzah Zainudin now facing similar allegations. He questioned whether the move was aimed at slowly sidelining Bersatu’s number two. He warned that suppressing legitimate debate undermines party strength, adding that differences of opinion should be embraced rather than punished, especially amid growing public scrutiny of national issues.
