Sara RM100 Aid to Be Credited on Feb 9

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed that the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) programme, offering RM100 to every Malaysian adult aged 18 and above, will continue this year. 

Sara RM100 Aid Begins 9 Feb

The aid, benefiting 2.2 million citizens, will be credited on February 9 to help with preparations for Ramadan and Chinese New Year. Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, announced that Sara assistance for hardcore poor recipients will be credited earlier on January 9. 

Meanwhile, the first phase of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR), worth up to RM500, will be distributed on January 20. He emphasized the government’s commitment to easing the rakyat’s burden.
