Selangor Malay Reserve Land Up 1,084.55 Hectares Since 2018

The total area of Malay Reserve Land in Selangor has increased by 1,084.55 hectares, or 2,680 acres, since 2018, according to Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the area under the state government’s administration has grown from 162,161.98 hectares to 163,246.54 hectares.

Amirudin said the figures were provided in response to questions surrounding Malay Reserve Land, including land in Sabak Bernam.

The latest total represents an increase of about 0.7 per cent from the 2018 figure, with the additional 1,084.55 hectares equivalent to more than 2,600 acres. 

The clarification provides a breakdown of the state’s current Malay Reserve Land position and its change over the past eight years. Amirudin’s statement comes amid continued attention on land administration and the protection of Malay Reserve Land in Selangor.
