Two Singaporeans were killed after their Ferrari crashed and caught fire at Kilometer 57.5 of Jalan Johor Bahru–Mersing on the morning of May 10. District police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said the victims were driver Yeo Tian Wen, 34, and passenger Ng Puay Ying, 33, believed to be his girlfriend.

The car reportedly skidded and burst into flames, leaving both victims with severe injuries before they died at the scene. Their remains were sent to the Forensic Unit of Hospital Kota Tinggi for autopsy. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
