PETALING JAYA, June 1 – Bersatu vice‑president Ahmad Faizal Azumu has said PAS is free to chart its own path, even if it contests future elections independently. He stressed that Bersatu would continue to attract support from other parties and NGOs aligned with its goals.
Bersatu
is remarks followed PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari’s suggestion that PAS and Bersatu contest separately due to disputes over party machinery strength. The row was sparked by Bersatu secretary‑general Azmin Ali’s ceramah in Melaka, where he defended Bersatu’s grassroots presence. Faizal added that while unity is vital, Bersatu will respect PAS’s decision.
