KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 — Muslims are urged to avoid relying on bomoh (medicine men) as it may jeopardize their faith, said Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs). He emphasized that Muslims should place all their hopes and reliance on Allah SWT, avoiding intermediaries for guidance.

Speaking at the Program Santuni Madani in Kampung Baru, he warned against acts of syirik (polytheism) associated with shaman practices. The minister’s comments come amid concerns about bo moh-related issues, including a recent case linked to the death of a UPNM student, Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain.
