A 29-year-old man was arrested after allegedly slashing a 16-year-old girl during a dispute over unpaid plumbing repair fees in Nosoob, Penampang, on May 7. Police said the victim was at home caring for her nephew when the suspect demanded payment from her sister-in-law.
Girl Slashed
Claiming he was insulted, the man allegedly snatched a kitchen knife and attacked the girl, causing severe head and neck wounds. He fled but was arrested hours later in Papar, testing positive for methamphetamine. The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where doctors confirmed she is in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing.
