PETALING JAYA, June 2 – Police believe a Chinese national arrested alongside 50 others during a drug‑fuelled gay party at a Kuala Lumpur hotel last month was the organiser. Bukit Aman narcotics chief Hussein Omar Khan said investigations revealed the man promoted the event via Instagram.

All 51 suspects have since been charged with various drug offences, including possession and trafficking. The Chinese national also faces a charge of self‑administering drugs. The May 24 raid saw drugs worth RM103,070 seized, including MDMA, ecstasy and ketamine. One participant died after being found unconscious, with police awaiting the autopsy report.
