SUNGAI PETANI, April 12 — The government is undertaking a comprehensive review to expand the diesel subsidy scheme to better support affected groups, including farmers. Finance Minister’s political secretary Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said authorities are assessing feedback from those impacted by rising diesel prices.

He noted that targeted aid similar to the BUDI Madani RON95 (BUDI95) programme is being considered, alongside widening access to fleet card facilities for previously excluded groups. Farmers, many of whom are not part of existing schemes, remain a key focus. The study aims to ensure more inclusive and effective distribution of subsidies.
