Starting December 1, all foreign travelers to Malaysia must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online before arrival, as announced by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. The MDAC website mandates completion within three days before arrival, excluding Malaysia’s permanent residents, Automated Clearance System pass holders, and those transiting Singapore without immigration clearance.

Travelers need to provide personal details, including name, nationality, passport information, and arrival/departure dates. The MDAC was introduced in January 2023 for Singaporeans, allowing them to use e-gate facilities at entry points, later extended to citizens of nine “low-risk” countries at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
