MKN stressed that safeguarding the identity of Malaysians is a strategic priority, with regulation carried out through a framework covering legal, financial, governance, and security aspects. It added that proactive strategies will continue to be explored to ensure sovereignty and value for public spending.
On Aug 20, NexG Bhd valued its wholly-owned subsidiary DTSB at RM7.5 billion after receiving a government request to submit an indicative price for a possible acquisition.
DTSB has been the vendor for MyKad and Malaysian passports since 2012, ensuring compliance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards. It also holds mandates for the new MyKad structure, MyTentera, and MyPOCA, with supply commitments extending for several years.
