GEORGE TOWN, June 7 — A 61‑year‑old woman endured a frightening moment when her Porsche 911 Carrera lost control and crashed into a hotel lobby at Persiaran Gurney. The incident occurred around 11.15 a.m. when she mistakenly pressed the accelerator while parking near the lobby.

Northeast District Police Chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said the driver reported the accident at 12.05 p.m., admitting she had misstepped on the pedal. No injuries were reported, though damages are still being assessed. Police confirmed the case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
