KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — DAP will contest 17 seats in the upcoming Johor state election, up from 14 in 2022. Party secretary‑general Anthony Loke Siew Fook confirmed the figure, outlining a strategy to defend 10 incumbent seats, reclaim four lost constituencies, and expand into three new areas.

He noted one seat remained under adjustment between PKR and Amanah but expected resolution within 48 hours. In the last state polls, DAP emerged as Pakatan Harapan’s strongest performer, though it lost several traditional strongholds to MCA. The expansion signals PH’s intent to challenge BN and PN in new territories.
