E-Hailing Driver Now Suspended for Texting While Driving

A Grab driver in Singapore was removed from the platform after a passenger filmed him texting while driving and filed a complaint. The passenger recorded the driver using his phone repeatedly during a 15-minute ride and shared the video on Facebook.

Despite warnings, the driver continued texting, endangering both himself and his passenger. Grab suspended the driver for violating the company’s code of conduct. The company reminded drivers that using a mobile phone while driving is prohibited under Singapore’s Road Traffic Act.
