Despite being banned from giving milk, deep down in his heart, Mohamad, the longest resident of a homeless shelter run by the Marhaen Social Welfare Organization (KMM), admits that he still has love and affection for his biological mother. He has been living in the shelter for over a year, receiving better care than what his own family provided him.

However, his longing to be with his family remains strong. Despite the mistreatment he faced from his stepfather and mother, he still loves his mother and misses her during festivals. Mohamad was sent to a tahfiz school at a young age, and after his father passed away and his mother remarried, he was treated poorly and eventually expelled from his home.
Furthermore, Mohamad forgives them wholeheartedly and considers his current situation as a test from Allah. The homeless shelter is a temporary home for those in need and provides mental health counseling services. Residents must be able to take care of themselves, have no history of drug use, be willing to work, and can stay for up to two months unless there are special circumstances.
