Indonesian Man Dies After Violent Rampage in Penang

An unidentified Indonesian man believed to be an undocumented migrant died of a heart attack after being arrested during a violent outburst at Taman Bukit Jambul, Penang. Police responded to reports of the man smashing a car window and breaking into a flat while wielding an iron rod. 

The reasons as to why the outburst happened is unclear.

Indonesian Man Dies After Violent Rampage in Penang

When approached, he attacked officers and tried to seize a firearm before being subdued with help from the public. He later collapsed at the Sungai Nibong Police Station and was pronounced dead at Penang Hospital. An autopsy confirmed a heart attack, and the case is classified as a sudden death report (SDR).
