However, it seems that this is a common problem among drivers. An X user claims that they’ve done something similar after filling their car up. He didn’t realize that their iPhone was left on his car’s roof. He found out that it’s on the roof by calling his phone from his other phone.
For others, they might not even realize their phone isn’t in the car with them in lieu of the bluetooth still being connected. Regardless, it is always best to double check your belongings right when you enter your car.
