Continuous heavy rain since yesterday has triggered flash floods, landslides, and fallen trees across the Klang Valley, affecting Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Low-lying areas in Sekinchan, Sungai Besar, Hulu Langat, Genting Highlands, Klang, Shah Alam, and Puncak Alam were inundated, forcing 700 residents in Taman Saujana Aman to evacuate.
Landslide in Kuala Lumpur Damages Vehicle
Five evacuation centres have been opened, housing 110 victims from 30 families. Taman Sri Muda, a known flood hotspot, also saw rising waters. Several roads, including the NKVE from Setia Alam to Shah Alam, were closed due to overflow. In Kuala Lumpur, a landslide at Taman United damaged vehicles, prompting immediate response from DBKL and rescue teams.
