A Chinese national, Lu Xun, collapsed and died just hours after being sentenced in Sungai Petani, Kedah, for reckless driving. Earlier that day, he pleaded guilty to driving against traffic, receiving a RM10,000 fine, one day in prison, and a two‑year driving ban.
Police Confirm Lu Xun’s Death at Hospital
Weak and emotional in court, Lu appeared in a wheelchair, supported by his daughter. After paying the fine, he fell ill and was rushed to Pantai Hospital, where he died at 5:30 PM. Police confirmed his death, noting Lu had lived in Malaysia for 30 years and suffered from diabetes and hypertension.
