1 min read

A 19‑year‑old food delivery rider, Muhammad Irfan Jasman, pleaded guilty to injuring police corporal Ahmad Faidz Mat Jusoh after hitting him with a motorcycle while fleeing a roadblock in Klang on April 27.

Food Delivery Rider Fined RM3,000

Magistrate Siti Zubaidah Mahat fined him RM3,000, with a three‑month jail term if unpaid. He was charged under Section 332 of the Penal Code, which carries up to three years’ imprisonment.

In mitigation, his lawyer cited unstable income and family responsibilities. The prosecution sought deterrence, noting rib injuries suffered by the officer. Irfan also admitted reckless riding under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act.
