The Shah Alam High Court has set August 13-14 and August 18-21, 2025, for the hearing of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s RM150 million defamation suit against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The suit stems from Anwar’s allegations at a 2023 PKR congress that a “leader of 22 years and 22 months” enriched his family, a claim Mahathir disputes. Pre-trial documents will be finalized on February 25. The court earlier dismissed Mahathir’s application for third-party documents. Meanwhile, two of Mahathir’s children are under MACC investigation but have declared their assets as required.
