PUTRAJAYA – Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that a Malaysian citizen died in a helicopter crash in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, last Thursday. According to Indonesian authorities, the aircraft, registered as PK-CFX and operated by a local airline, lost contact shortly after departing Melawi for Kubu Raya.
Malaysian Dies
The wreckage was later found in a remote forest area in Desa Tapang Tingang, Sekadau. The victim was identified as Patrick Kee Chuan Peng, Chief Operating Officer of KPN Plantations, who was in Kalimantan on work duties. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing by Indonesian authorities.
