KUCHING – Selangor FC’s Malaysia Cup campaign ended in heartbreak after a 0-1 defeat to Kuching City in the semi-final second leg at Stadium Negeri. The Cats advanced 2-1 on aggregate, marking another historic achievement for the Sarawak club.

Petrus Shitembi scored the decisive goal in the 31st minute, while Selangor’s hopes collapsed following two VAR-reviewed red cards. Safuwan Baharudin was dismissed for a foul on Ronald Ngah Wanja in the 48th minute, followed by Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi’s sending off 14 minutes later. Coach Kim Pan-gon suffered his first defeat, with Selangor finishing the match with nine men.
