The recent call for boycotting McDonald’s Malaysia has been affecting their OKU staff allegedly affected by the situation. Some Malaysians feel that despite our local branches not being involved with the war, they still are adamant in boycotting the chain restaurant. Unfortunately, most local places do not hire OKU individuals.
McDonald’s Malaysia not calling back OKU staff
X users are sharing their sympathies to the OKU staff working in McDonald’s. Apparently, for states outside of Selangor, there are a lack of vacancies for those disabled. Furthermore, many agree that OKU individuals have the right to get a job and support themselves.
Others state that A&W are also hiring OKU staff. Regardless, most Malaysians may boycott these establishments as they are American owned. However, netizens claim that the A&W in Malaysia are owned locally.
