Kuala Lumpur: The Public Accounts Committee recommends to the government to set a ceiling price for Covid-19 vaccination. It says this should be applicable when the Sinovac vaccine is sold to the public.
“The applicable ceiling price for the vaccines by Pharmaniaga and costs charged by private clinics or hospitals should be reasonable and not a burden to the People.
“The Committee notes the sales of Covid-19 vaccines on the open market will begin in August and it is important to set the ceiling price for these vaccines and to be made public immediately.”
PAC says the committee notes that the Covid-19 prices are already known and they are not being sold at a fair price on the market.
