Plantation Manager Loses RM205,983 to Investment Scam

A plantation manager lost RM205,983 to a non-existent investment scheme. Acting Kemaman police chief DSP Wan Muhamad Wan Ja’afar said the 56-year-old victim invested in the Goldencrimson scheme advertised on social media.

The victim made 12 transactions to different bank accounts, starting with RM5,000, but became suspicious when no returns were received. He then filed a police report. The case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code. Wan Muhamad urged the public to be cautious of fraudulent schemes on social media and websites.
