SINGAPORE – About 13.4% of resident households reported monthly incomes of at least S$30,000 in 2025, nearly double the 7.4% recorded in 2020, according to the General Household Survey released on June 30. The proportion of households earning at least S$12,000 also rose sharply, from 38.2% in 2020 to 51.6% in 2025.

Median household income crossed S$12,000 for the first time, reaching S$12,446, or S$4,160 per capita after adjusting for household size. All major ethnic groups saw real income growth, with Indian households recording the highest median at S$13,382, followed by Chinese at S$12,969 and Malays at S$8,581.
