Singapore Life Expectancy Rises to 83.9 Years

SINGAPORE, June 5 – Singapore residents born in 2025 can expect to live an average of 83.9 years, according to preliminary figures from the Department of Statistics (SingStat). The data shows a 0.2‑year increase from 2024, continuing a decade‑long upward trend. Life expectancy at age 65 also rose to 86.6 years.

Men born in 2025 are projected to live 81.8 years, while women are expected to reach 86.0 years. Survival prospects for newborns improved, with 90.3% of boys and 94.4% of girls expected to reach age 65. The figures reflect current mortality patterns without future health changes.
