Sivasangari secured a smooth victory in the second round of the Ace Malaysia Squash Cup 2024, advancing to the quarter-finals after a swift 23-minute match against Egypt’s Nour Heikal, winning 3-0 (11-4, 11-5, 11-9). She now faces fellow Malaysian Aifa Azman, who defeated Spain’s Cristina Gomez 3-0. Aifa anticipates a challenging match against Sivasangari, currently ranked world No. 9. Another Malaysian, Aira Azman, also advanced after beating Australia’s Sarah Cardwell 3-1. The tournament, held at The Curve and NSC in Kuala Lumpur, offers a prize pool of $100,000 and runs until Nov 17.
