JAKARTA, June 7 – Malaysia’s professional men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin Rumsani pulled off a major upset by advancing to the final of the Indonesia Open badminton championship on Saturday. Ranked eighth in the world, the duo delivered a spirited performance to defeat reigning champions and world No.1 pair Kim Won‑ho–Seo Seung‑jae of South Korea in a thrilling semi‑final at Istora Senayan.

The Malaysians triumphed in three sets, 21‑18, 17‑21, 21‑16, showcasing resilience and composure against their higher‑ranked opponents. In the final, they are set to face home favourites, either Sabar Karyaman Gutama–Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani or Raymond Indra–Nikolaus Joaquin, who contest the other semi‑final later today.
