Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair, Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei, showcased mature gameplay as they secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Swiss Open Super 300 Badminton Championships in Basel. They defeated India’s Sathish Kumar Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath in straight sets 21-17, 21-14 in the second round.

Ranked ninth globally, Tang Jie and Ee Wei will face Thailand’s Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran in the quarterfinals. Another Malaysian duo, Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai Jemie, also advanced after a tough three-set match against Japan’s Hiroki Nishi and Akari Sato, setting up a clash with Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje.
