A 17‑year‑old Malaysian boy has won praise online after his sister shared a touching exchange on Threads. Mohamad Aiman, the second child and eldest son in the family, transferred RM20 to his sister and urged her to buy food.

When asked where the money came from, he explained he had earned RM50 from a recent job, spending RM30 on household groceries and setting aside the remaining RM20 for her.

Although his sister initially refused, Aiman insisted she accept it, saying he wanted to practise taking responsibility after their father’s passing.

“Please take it. I’m sincere. I am, after all, the eldest son in the family, so I have to be responsible. I need to practise taking over our late father’s responsibilities,” he wrote.

Netizens were deeply moved, praising his maturity and sincerity.

Some commented that his family had raised him well, while others even offered him future job opportunities once he completed his SPM exams. The story resonated widely, highlighting the values of responsibility, sacrifice, and love within Malaysian families.
