A mob of 200 mischievous monkeys caused chaos in Lopburi, central Thailand, after escaping from their enclosures on November 16. The primates rampaged through the town, with a bold group storming a police station. Officers barricaded themselves inside, sealing doors and windows to protect vital documents and prevent the animals from scavenging for food. Traffic police were reassigned to fend off the relentless intruders, while local media captured photos of monkeys defiantly perched on the station roof. “We’re doing everything to prevent damage,” said police captain Somchai Seedee, as the town braced for the cheeky invaders to disperse.
