Traffic Jams Can Drastically Reduce with Better Walkability and Public Transportation

A topic that has been thoroughly discussed among X users is that Malaysia focuses on building highways rather than fixing the main core issue of transportation. Walkability is one of the bigger problems we have as suburbs and parts of Kuala Lumpur can be unwalkable for pedestrians. It can reduce traffic jams if done properly.

Traffic jams can drastically reduce with better walkability 

An X user states that in comparison to Japan and South Korea, where children can independently go to school by themselves, in Malaysia parents allegedly encourage their children to “rempit” to places on their motorcycles. 

Others state South Korea and Japan have colder climates, hence it’s better for the people to walk. But, countries like Singapore have efficient walking spaces. Additionally, mentioned countries are not as cool as Malaysians may think during the summer months.
