A young man, only 18, lost his life in a tragic incident while charging his phone on a bus at Penang Sentral. He’d boarded the bus to Kuala Lumpur just before dusk, likely looking forward to his journey ahead. Ten minutes later, his peaceful anticipation turned to horror as a passenger heard him scream, then found him foaming at the mouth. The overheated phone and melted charging cable had caused a fatal electric shock. Despite the quick response of an ambulance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
