THESSALONIKI, July 10 – A terrifying incident unfolded aboard a Ryanair flight from Greece to Germany when passenger Ljubisa Karović, 61, was sucked head‑first through a shattered window at 20,000ft. His wife, Svetlana Grković, described desperately clinging to his legs as he lost consciousness multiple times while stuck outside up to his chest. Other passengers rushed to help until the plane made an emergency landing in Thessaloniki.

Witnesses reported a loud bang before sudden decompression, with oxygen masks dropping and chaos erupting. Karović was taken to hospital with serious injuries, including burns and damage to his hand, and remains unable to speak. Ryanair confirmed the aircraft returned safely after a passenger window dislodged. Four people were hospitalised, three for precautionary checks, while a replacement flight carried passengers onward to Germany.
